Boost Your Self-Confidence and Connect to Inner Peace (Part II)

How to Boost Your Self-Confidence by Building a NEW Mindset…

"God helps those who help themselves."

Benjamin Franklin

Dear Friend,

…This is the PART II following the PART I from the series "Boost Your Self-Confidence". In this article I’m going to write about the affect of the mental attitude and mindset on your self-confidence and how to change it.

It is old news that mindset is an important part of our Self-Image. So how can we become confident, which is a strong and powerful characteristic to have? It makes us personally magnetic and influential.

What is the reason for a positive mindset… As we know from nature the strongest survive, it is the same with positivity. If you have negative thoughts and then one by one replace them with positive ones you will see how easy it will be to change, because nature will be on your side and fight for you.

A positive idea tends to kill a negative one. When you cultivate a positive one – you will see Nature is fighting on your side! The best way to kill and destroy negative mental ideas and attitudes is to plant a good crop of positive in their places, and then encourage the fight – the negatives will go under surely. It is like pouring fresh water into a basin of dirty water – in time the water will become clear; or, again, like flooding a room with sunshine – the darkness will be destroyed.

… Mind grows to resemble that upon which it feeds and therefore, you should "feed" your mind with the very kind of ideas, which you would like to have.

Let's look at the exercise for your Positive Mindset and Confidence:

#1 Make a careful, full, and honest chart of your mental characteristics, positive and negative.

#2 Place a plus sign before the positives, and minus sign before the negative.

#3 Then every day run over your plus list, and fix in your mind the idea that these positives MUST be developed; and the negatives MUST be replaced with positives. The development of the positives will come about by the holding in mind of the ideal of them – thus they will develop and increase, like a self-multiplying cell. The negatives may be restricted by developing their opposites. It is the application of the law that positives kill out negatives.

Do whatever it takes to cultivate and develop the positives and restrict the negatives, in your mindset so that in the end your persona may be positive instead of negative - strong instead of weak.

Build up your own IDEAL BLUEPRINT of that which you wish to be. Map out exactly the characteristics, which you wish to be yours. Then picture, in your mind’s eye, an individual possessed of just these qualities – a complete model, or pattern, of that which you wish to be. Then hold that pattern or model, constantly in your imagination. See it; think always about it; view it from the inside and the outside; get fully acquainted with it. And, gradually you will begin to grow like your ideal. The IDEAL will begin to materialize in your own character, and your mental attitude will be that of your model.

… It has worked miracles for others, and it will for you too, my friend. If you will persist with this plan, your mental attitude will become positive and fixed, and your personal aura will be charged with the strong, positive vibrations, which will proclaim you as a master.

The self-image coming from your dominate state of mind will manifest in your looks, voice, general appearance and the positive influence will also affect other people, which will feel a strong energy to which they will tend to adjust.

People with a weak personal magnetism change their mental states quickly. When you have mastered to keep positive mental state for a long period of time, the personal magnetism becomes very strong. It is what you can see in great leaders, they are not only very confident they also have a strong personal magnetism. People follow them sometimes blindly, as the influence is very strong.

…Remember positive is many times stronger than negative. It is so in the nature. When nature is on your side, nothing can keep you from being confident and strong.

I’ll see you next week…keep practising I know you can do it and if you’ve read so far I’m convinced that you will succeed.

Let's do this together!

Please share your thoughts, wisdom or stories in the comment section below. I'd love to hear from you! :)

We are what we think. What we think becomes our reality. Action must follow thought and we really do need to focus and work at it to replace those negative messages with the positive ones.

This was a great pondering post for me today.

Yes you are so right when you say focus, I’m going to write about how to focus and train our minds very soon, as it is not as easy as it may sound…Thanks for stopping by! :)

Solvita – Thank you so much for bringing this message to the world. So many people are living from a down, depressed and hopeless state and never have a clue that their mindset is huge in determining what type of day they will have. I applaud you for making a difference!

One of the hardest lessons I have had to learn is to let some things go in order to have a bit more peace – but it is so worth it! :-)

Reply

Solvita Bennett August 19, 2011

Dear Katrina, we like to hold on to things too much, it only creates resistance and I had to learn and still learning how to let go of negativity and replace it with much stronger, vital force of positivity to give me health, wealth and ability to love! Thank you! :)
