How to Deal with Unfortunate Conditions and Find Inner Peace…

Dear Friend,

… Life is full of surprises and presents us with different lessons that we have to learn, in order to evolve and grow. The way we face these lessons or conditions will also determine the outcome and your inner peace.

It is important to know that what ever conditions we have, there are TWO WAYS of handling them:

1. We go against, rebel, resist, complain and so get depressed, weak, ill and create more conditions of the same kind again and again.

or

2. We embrace them, accepted them, look for causes, develop the insights of the cause, work in harmony and overcome them so we can also grow personally and gain the power in creating conditions that we desire with awareness.

… In the past and even now at times my first reaction is to rebel, to deny resist any unfortunate condition. I know most of us do it, because we just don’t like them and so we don’t want to face them, to do the work required and we think they will disappear, by our negative state of mind. … It is such a natural reaction my friend and when we don’t posses enough knowledge of the higher law of nature, we can easily make it worse and create suffering for us and others too.

Today I’m going to share with you some insights on how to look at unfortunate conditions and how to overcome them.

…. This is what often happens. When we are faced with adversity, we like to think and so often forget that every person on this planet needs to go through lessons in life and that we are not on our own. The lessons can be very different, however the fact is that nobody can help you to experience and go through them apart from yourself.

When we avoid these lessons by resistance, complaint, fear and denial, we are also then missing the opportunity to gain strength and power from them. This is also good to remember that if we avoid the lessons, at some point we will be faced with the same kind of lesson later in life, it may be through different people or circumstances and it will create for us the same suffering and pain if we don’t use the tips I’m about to share with you.

So the question is not about if we are going to have an unfortunate condition, because we will :); but rather in how to deal with it.

3 STEPS on Overcoming Conditions:

#1 Finding the cause.

… Any condition good or bad is an effect. There is a natural law of the cause and effect… We can’t just ignore any condition, but rather face it with a will and determination to overcome it. So how can we do this? We have to go deep and recognize the cause of the condition. It might be at first you will not have the ability to see clearly the cause yet and it's OK. Many people don’t. However with time and gained wisdom you will become more aware of the law of the cause and effect. This will help you to see clearly how you create your own reality and conditions in life too. The more you will be able to recognize the cause, the more confidence you will gain in creating your own reality on your own favorable terms rather than unfavorable and unconscious ones.

The lessons we learn from this great law is truly incredible, but nobody can really do it apart from yourself my friend. The knowledge of the higher laws are so helpful, so we meet the conditions with awareness and work through them with wisdom and gain, rather than unaware with fear and complaint.

The Affirmation:

I am the Master of my conditions in Life.

#2 Gaining the Power from the Condition.

The POWER is in the LESSON that is given to us through adversity. At times we can’t see clearly, but when we look back in past I’m sure you could find some very bad conditions you overcame and the lesson you learned. The life is full of lessons and there wouldn’t be any evolution without them. Just think, what is the hidden lesson in this current condition. Once we recognize the lesson, we also recognize the POWER of it.

The Affirmation:

Divine lesson is given for me to grow and I accept it.

#3 Transforming an Unfortunate Condition.

Now to overcome any condition that you don’t like is only by courage and determination to work in harmony with it rather than against it. This is the way we can transform the condition to go away and not to be repeated again in the future. Even when after this transformation you meet similar condition, you will be already equipped with experience, wisdom and knowledge on how to overcome it and it will not cause you suffering. You can only become stronger after every adversity and build a supreme character that you deserve my friend.

The affirmation:

I work in harmony with all things that are in my way.

…We become so much stronger and gain incredible experience, which we would never be able to do without turning our conditions around. We can prove that conditions don’t have any power over our lives once we know how to deal with them from a confident and wise point of view.

This is what I’d like to say in conclusion:

…. You are not on your own with your lessons in life, the WAY you will face them will DETERMINE the OUTCOME. Next time when you are faced with an unfortunate condition use the tips I just gave you and turn it around.

Let’s do this together.

Now is your turn, please share your thoughts, concerns or stories in the comment section below. I’d love to hear from you :)

My story (warning it’s long)
I know and have worked with this over and over again and sometimes wonder how many challenges there are… cancer, sickness, death etc. We bought a totally renovated house last year since I didn’t want to spend any time on renovating since I needed time to start up my own company. The house was a jerry-building and we had to move out only after two months due to we got sick from mold. We are now fighting with the help of a lawyer but the time goes and instead of having a home of our own we have to rent an apartment since 4 months. To have a home is so important and especially for my wife who loves interior decoration and to live in her her own house not anyone else house.

We are both aware of that there is always a reason and something to learn from every challenge but it feels to much sometimes. I have learnt that I can never buy me time and need to work Hard every day no matter what and my wife has learnt that a house and decoration is not That important. We are also coming closer and understand each other better as a couple. I have also learnt to never trust anyone else and blame afterwards since I must check it up by myself from the beginning. We paid for an investigation of the house which was worthless for us and I should have spent my time to learn how to investigate a house thoroughly. After several investigations the last 6 months and thousands of dollars paid I have learnt much more about house constructions and fake renovating than I have ever known before.

I think I could write a book and create a living only of what we have learned to help others. Everything looked good from the outside and we got all quality documents from the construction company which the sellers owned and had used for the renovation. The wet rooms missed the protection shield hidden behind the tile (impossible to see from outside), they had painted over walls and roof which was damaged by nicotin (smells awful after a while when the heating is on). They have closed the air circulation on the bottom floor and used not approved material in the air system so the humidity didn’t left the shower and sauna.

They had built a guest house and terrace 23,6 inches outside our garden. We had 7 water leaks and the last one ran from the laundry rooms floor down to the ground since there was no protection shield under the clinker floor. They had done a very good tile and clinker job so it was not possible to see from the outside.

It’s a long story and the swedish laws are strange and even though it looks as we should win the case we cannot take anything for granted. We might loose everything we have saved during almost 30 years work and start over again. We are currently in the waiting phase after our lawyer have sent a lawsuit to the court…

I write this to create an awareness of that everything is not what it looks like and hopefully help someone else to check before buying. This is also a part of why Values and Referrals are so important for me. I think we have to go back to when a Handshake and trust was a part of business. To be genuine and authenthic is not only words for me it really means something that is also why I have joined Rotary. I have done many mistakes in my life but use to learn and don’t repeat them.

This is such a great story for others to hear Christer. You did a wonderful job with all the details. This is what makes us see through to the truth. Your story demonstrates so well how we all have different conditions to overcome and we have our own lessons to learn. Thank you so much for this, I so appreciate your input!

Solvita,

This is a great post! Sometimes I we do not think about how to deal with unfortunate conditions. We stew in them, and focus on the condition, instead of focusing on dealing with the conditions and picking up and moving forward. If I have no money, sitting around in sorrow because of it doesn’t solve our problem. We just have to take action! This was inspiring, and I am going to forward this to a couple people that this post could help.

Simple statement Solvita, but it has such great impact. If we look at the various situations we encounter on a day to day, how we approach the resolution sets the tone for how successful we are in resolving the situation and how we approach/resolve things in the future.

Well written article. From personal experience, I have discovered that what you put in is what will come out of your life. Thus if all you think about is how bad things are, then that is all you will get. If you are putting good things in your life and renewing your mind with good things that you are greatful for, then that is what will come out of your life. Doesn’t mean that bad things won’t happen, just means that your outlook when they do happen is more positive and you do not need to react badly to them.

Reply

Solvita Bennett February 23, 2012

Thank you Erica, yes it is a great affirmation …the way to make an affirmation is by stating all in positive, in this case word chaos is negative, so I would not use this, as our mind would pick up this word and put it in the subconscious -it is not a ‘positive’ word. This would sound better: “I am directly responsible for the amount of clarity I allow in my life.” ๐Ÿ˜‰
