How to Find Inner Peace and Make your GOALS Work…

"If I accept you as you are, I will make you worse; however if I treat you as though you are what you are capable of becoming, I help you become that."

Dear Friend,

… It is great from time to time visit our old goals and see how they fit with our current situation. When is the better time than at the beginning of a New Year?

… Every year I look back at my previous goals and see what did I achieve and what I thought I’ll be able to achieve in one year’s time and actually in reality I'll need more than one year to achieve them. I am an analytical type of person and like to see how my own thinking, desires and actions create results, so I know what works and what doesn’t work and so I can then in return share my experiences with others. Today I’ll go over the 2 Top Keys in making your goals work for you my friend.

… We all need goals and I wrote about goal setting in the article called “The Art of Goal Setting”, however today I’ll give you even more insights about the ways you can actually make those goals to bring the results for you my friend.

What is the difference between those who seem to have it all and those who start and after couple of weeks give up?

The main difference what I’ve seen, read about and also experienced myself is in these 2 TOP KEYS:

  • #1 Clarity
  • #2 Persistence

… The clarity comes from identifying the real goal. The persistence comes from a strong desire or love to take it to a tangible or intangible manifestation.

Lets look at the clarity first…

Every goal has to be aligned with your purpose my friend. We can have many purposes in one lifetime. Once we complete one, we move to the next. Through a purpose we evolve and grow. Sometimes we choose goals, which don’t serve our purpose and what ever we do, we either loose it all or struggle a lot and still feel unhappy after we achieve them.

We are here to create and enjoy what we create. We have to be very open and honest with ourselves and know what is it that we truly want.

I don’t know how would you do it without a quite time or meditation. If you don't know how to meditate, please pick up my free report, I'm giving away the baby steps to meditation in there.

When you are desperate to know what your immediate purpose is for this year, it is effective if you can find a quite time and go within, so you are able to connect to your higher self and receive an answer. If it takes you more then one day and many attempts, it is worth it. The answer will come, as it is the law of universe. When you ask, it is given.

Once you are clear of what you really want, it may require more than a year to achieve, however you are now ready to set action goals which are going to be in alignment with your purpose. This is what clarity is.

When you have your real, authentic and big goal, you also will feel clear and other people, circumstances, adversities will not be able to distract you.

With clarity you are going to be able to focus and move forwards to fulfill your purpose.

When you are now clear about what is your desire, you also will need the persistence and patience.

How can we develop persistence?

You have to have a strong desire to see through to the result. There simply are no other ways. You will have to do what ever it takes to make it happen my friend. I know we all hear that, but how to make our desire so strong, that it becomes a force within us waiting to be expressed.

We can do it by asking a simple question “Why?”

Why do you need it? Again we have to go deep to discover the real reason. I am saying real; because a weak reason will give you no strength or power.

Let's see some examples:

  • To take my family to a trip of a lifetime.
  • To have sufficient funds to send my child to university.
  • To have financial independence.
  • To publish my first book.

… It works very well when we can find someone or something we love. Love fuels desire and will make you persistent until you are able to express it till results are seen or felt. My friend, you will never find your inner peace without fulfilling your divine purpose and divine purpose is yours to claim. It may sound a bit weird, but we all have a fire within us, but the only way to light it up is to go within and ask.

Let’s look at it again in conclusion:

#1 Clarity. Meditate to find the real goal or goals. Claim it and name it. Write it down and start building the goals, which are in alignment with your purpose.

You can use this affirmation. I know what I want. Divine goal is revealed to me.

#2 Persistence. Find the answer to your big “Why?” Look at your life and think why do you need your goal? What it will give you, your children, your spouse, your friends, your family and world. You have to make the why so big that will make you do whatever it takes to achieve you goal.

You can use this affirmation. I am persistent in everything I do. I know that every step counts and leads to the Divine result.

You deserve to have the BEST goals my friend. As we all are unique, we also have different purposes to fulfill and nothing will give you more joy and happiness as going after goals which lift you up, makes your life worth living, brings to you amazing people, opportunities and creates experiences you would die for.

Let’s do this together. :)

Now is your turn. What are your own experiences in making your desire strong? How do you find the real goals and what makes you to follow them through?

Please share your thoughts in the comment section below. I'd love to hear from you! :)

Very Motivational article.

Today, normally people understand everything about goal, they are working on it too. But the most important thing that, they run away from mid period of goal due to many factors like failures, disappoint with job/business, personal problem etc.

Therefore, today’s people need more moral support to achieve goal, set goal. Once we set a goal, the important thing is “execution your action” and continuously work on it. And, on this core point, majority people fail to work on it.

Nice article. Keep it up.

Hey Solvita, another fantastic post. For me, I need to refocus both at the end and the beginning of each day in order to continue moving in the direction I desire. I find that when I don’t take the time to focus, gather my thoughts, and realize the opportunity available in front of me, my thoughts become scattered which affects my results.

Reply

Solvita Bennett January 7, 2012

Great approach Edmund! Without a focus we can’t move forwards with confidence and so can’t expect the results we’d like to have. Thank you for the comment! :)

Amazing how when we write things down or verbally say them out loud to someone how much clearer we can see what it is we truly want and desire. It keeps our minds clear and focused on our goals. We can also take what we write down and break in into steps that we can actually accomplish. Our dreamsare capable of becoming our reality after all. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for another great article Solvita. If you know anything about me it’s that committing to a goal and having the discipline to follow through is something I struggle with but strive to maintain. I do have long term goals but find it easier to work on smaller goals leading up to the big picture. As I achieve the smaller goals the larger one is that much closer and more manageable. Love your positivity.

Reply

Solvita Bennett January 9, 2012

Such a great approach, we need our purpose for clarity and then build those, big, medium and small goals around it. Thank you for your comment Michael!

Carl Mason-Liebenberg January 9, 2012

I LOVE this paragraph: #2 Persistence. Find the answer to your big “Why?” Look at your life and think why do you need your goal? What it will give you, your children, your spouse, your friends, your family and world. You have to make the why so big that will make you do whatever it takes to achieve you goal.

I have a big why..and though it seems at timse nearly impossible to achieve my goal, I maintain my determination because of that why!

Thank you Solvita for another great post!

Reply

Solvita Bennett January 9, 2012

Thank you Carl for your comment! Yes ~ it so important to revisit our big why, so we can have a strong persistence. Never loose faith though, this so important…when you don’t see the results straight away.
